Effective communication and continuous improvement starts with listening. Listening is also an important part of building a community so there’s a lot of value in hearing about your views and opinion on your Cranfield experience.

You may have heard the term ‘student voice’, here at Cranfield the term refers to the variety of ways our students and recent alumni can feed back their views, ask questions and share comments – whether through focus groups, student reps, or surveys, such as PTES and PRES, etc.

Graduate Outcomes survey

Once such survey is the Graduate Outcomes survey. Graduate Outcomes is the biggest annual social survey in the UK and captures the perspectives and current status of graduates. Everyone who completed a higher education course will be asked to take part in the survey 15 months after graduation. For example, if you graduated between August and October 2018, you’ll receive the survey in December 2019 and have until the end of February to complete it. The survey won’t take long to complete and you can take part on all devices.

The survey looks to understand whether you’re in employment, have continued with further study or are doing something else - and to what extent your qualification played a part. We’re keen to understand the non-traditional routes that Cranfield graduates are taking because we recognise that employment isn’t the only successful outcome: we want to know what you do, and really understand what you see as fulfilling. The survey will ask you to not only state facts about where you’re at and what you’re doing, it will also ask you to reflect on how your Cranfield education and experience has contributed to where you are today.

Why take the survey?

By participating in the survey you’re helping us:

  • Recognise the achievements of our graduates.
  • Enhance the reputation of your degree and Cranfield University.
  • Help prospective students to understand the value of a degree from your University.
  • Help current students when considering their future career options.
  • Improve services for students and alumni.
  • Contribute to the University’s positioning in university league and ranking tables.

That’s why it’s imperative that you complete the survey when you receive it. Keep an eye out on the Cranfield social media channels which will announce when the survey is open, and in the meantime make sure you can share your perspectives and current status by keeping your contact details up to date.

So join your fellow graduates and be part of the picture of education today. We look forward to hearing your views, we’ll be listening to what you have to say to us.
