Each year, Cranfield awards honorary degrees to distinguished figures who have had an influence on the sectors in which we operate.

Everyone is welcome to put forward suggestions for 2019. To do so, you just need to complete the online nomination form.

Honoured at last year's graduation ceremonies were:

  • Dr Fariba Alamdari, Vice President, Marketing, Boeing Commercial Airplanes
  • Chuan Poh Lim, Chairman, A*STAR
  • Christiana Figueres, Former executive secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and currently Vice-Chair of the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate & Energy
  • Roger Harrabin, Environment Analyst, British Broadcasting Corporation
  • Professor Adrian Reynard, Founder, Reynard Motorsport
  • Philip Rutnam, Permanent Secretary, Home Office
  • Alastair Salvesen CBE, Chairman, Dawnfresh Seafoods Ltd
  • Dr Frances Saunders CB, British scientist and civil servant, Former president of the Institute of Physics and CEO of the Defence Science Technology Laboratory.
