We are delighted to invite alumni to attend the 2026 Lord Kings Norton Lecture. This year the lecture will be delivered by Anita Mendiratta, who will be delivering the lecture:
WHOLE WORLD. WHOLE INDUSTRY. WHOLE LEADERSHIP.
he global crises unfolding in 2026 alone have vividly exposed just how interconnected our world has become, and how indispensable aviation is to keeping it connected. In these times of geopolitical uncertainty, conflict and economic disruption, ongoing crises has made clear that aviation is far more than a means of transport: it is a strategic enabler of travel, trade, security and opportunity, sustaining the stability of economies, security of communities, and the relationships between nations. Against this backdrop, aviation leadership excellence is more important now than ever - understanding the industry requires a whole-world perspective. Drawing on more than three decades of international experience across aviation, tourism and leadership, and the central themes explored in her award-winning book, Anita will examine what it takes to lead effectively when uncertainty is the operating environment and aviation's ability to connect the world depends not only on the strength of its infrastructure, technology and operations, but on the judgement, courage and compassion of those entrusted to lead it.
