Unfortunately, few of us intuitively know how to build a network of relationships at work. Too often, especially early in our career, it feels like people around us are using a “secret handshake” we have not been taught.
In this webinar Steve Dalton, bestselling author of The 2-Hour Job Search and The Job Closer explains his formula for networking for career growth based on:
Proactively reaching out to colleagues (whether you know them or not)
Building a large network within your organisation through short informational meetings that turn strangers into advocates
We will also look at different scenarios and how to deal with them, including:
How to reach out naturally to senior colleagues
What to say about yourself and your career goals
Why one-to-one meetings work better than conferences and social events
Why you don’t need a specific “goal” or “ask” to reach out
Why and how you can stay “in the loop” and/or be better informed than your colleagues
Everyone who registers will be asked to complete a preliminary survey/audit and we will discuss the results in the webinar.
