We are delighted to invite all alumni from Manufacturing, Materials and Design (MMD) programmes to join us here at Cranfield University for the annual Manufacturing Alumni Awards Dinner and Lecture.

The event will be following the National Manufacturing Debate event, taking place on Tuesday 21 May at Cranfield University.

The event recognises the winners of The Distinguished Manufacturing Alumnus Award and The Excellence in Achievement Award for Recent Manufacturing Graduates and gives delegates a great opportunity to network and catch-up with fellow manufacturing alumni.

About the awards:

  • The Distinguished Manufacturing Alumnus/a Award - The Distinguished Manufacturing Alumnus/a Award is Cranfield Manufacturing’s highest honour and recognises those individuals who have achieved significant success within their industry and sector while upholding the highest standards in business practice.
  • Excellence in Achievement Award for Recent Manufacturing Graduates - The Excellence in Achievement Award for Recent Manufacturing Graduates recognises those who have made significant progress in their careers within ten years of graduating/studying from Cranfield.  This award recognises those who have the potential to reach the highest levels of business success in the future.

This years National Manufacturing Debate topic is Supply Chains in 21st Century Manufacturing: Developing sustainable supply chains for UK Manufacturing growth. A group of MSc students will be investigating the nuances behind the issues related to manufacturing supply chains and they will be guided to briefly interact with individuals and companies that have an interest in supply chain excellence. This will present the opportunity to share the output of their synthesized insights for the benefit of all the collaborators. We envisage this to become a touch-point of mutual benefit between our annual manufacturing debate and the on-going engagement with our active Cranfield alumni. If you are interested in taking part in the research work and contribute to a subject that will further our collective thought-leadership on the subject of manufacturing supply chains, please contact John.Patsavellas@cranfield.ac.uk
