An Integrated World - The Cranfield Perspective

The last 50 years has witnessed an intensifying and speeding up of worldwide interconnectedness.

While globalisation is not a new process, the integration of economies, industries, markets, cultures and policy-making around the world has rapidly accelerated since World War II.

Major economic and technological developments and change are the pivotal factors behind An Integrated World and the focus for much of Cranfield’s world-leading research.

Join us for our fifth Annual Alumni Conference in October, where experts from Cranfield faculty and alumni will provide insight into the driving forces, opportunities and challenges of the new epoch of interconnectedness.

Topics will include globalisation’s impact on energy consumption, entrepreneurship, autonomous vehicles, technology and jobs, marketing and much more: do revisit this page as we develop and update the day’s programme over the coming weeks.

We are sure you will be greatly absorbed by our keynote speeches from notable industry and academic figures, and look forward to seeing you at our breakout sessions. There will be also be plenty of time throughout the day for valuable networking opportunities with fellow alumni, faculty and staff and during the morning break we will be running a structured networking event.

Previous conferences centred on the themes of the circular economy (2014), and a futuristic world (2015) and we are sure that this year’s topic will prove as engaging and stimulating. We look forward to welcoming even more alumni back to campus this year. Book your place now.
