Submissions are now open for the Financial Times and McKinsey & Co Bracken Bower Prize 2020. The Prize aims to encourage young authors under the age of 35 to tackle emerging business themes, analyse future business trends and research the ideas that could be featuring in future business books.

The Prize will be awarded to the best proposal for a book which tackles the theme of the challenges and opportunities of growth, aiming to provide insights into future trends in business, economics, finance or management. The proposal should be no more than 5,000 words and should be in the form of an essay or article which sets out the argument, scope and style of the proposed work.

The author of the winning proposal will be awarded a £15,000 prize by the judges, which will be presented at the Business Book of the Year award dinner in London on 1 December 2020. The prize money is intended to fund further research into the topic of the proposal.

The deadline for submissions is 5pm BST on 30 September 2020. Writers who are under the age of 35 on 30 November 2020 are eligible to submit their proposals.
