  • Erwan Philippe (MSc Marketing and Product Management 1993) has been named as head of international sales at Danish firm Chr Hansen, for Latin America, Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
  • Vanni Gibertini (MSc Air Transport Management 2002) writes about the new feature from Japan Airlines to help passengers avoid sitting near infants.
  • Mauricio Toro (MSc Motorsport Engineering & Management 2010) features in an article on the creation of cutting-edge implants with 3d technology used in a medical context.
  • Ian Rydin (Executive Development, Developing General Management Potential 2000), features in TravTalk in a piece titled ‘A visionary leader’.
  • Simon Fahie (Executive MSc Logistics and Supply Chain Management 2004) has been appointed as managing director of MercuryGate.
  • Tunde Coker (MSc Engineering and Management of Manufacturing Systems 1989) chairs MoDiTECH 2019.
  • CBW, London accountants, Tax and Business Advisers, strengthens Corporate Finance Team with Philip Bird (MBA 1986).
  • C-suite career advice: Howard Dickel (MSc Programme and Project Management 2010), Step5 Group.
  • Dominic Brisbane (MSc International Defence and Security 2014) has been appointed to represent St Vincent and the Grenadines during the nation’s tenure on the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), starting in January 2020. 
  • Hema Selvaraj (MBA 2006) has been appointed as Innovation Director at Grosvenor Britain & Ireland, leading the newly launched innovation team.
  • Hugo Spowers (MBA 1999) featured in an interview in The Manufacturer.
  • Andrew Kinniburgh (MSc International Defence and Security Marketing 2010) has been appointed as Director General of NDI (National Defence Industries) - a leading UK defence trade association, owned by Make UK.
  • The International Civil Aviation Organisation has appointed Engr. Charles Erhueh (PgCert Safety and Accident Investigation 2012) as the new Commissioner of the Banjul Accord Group Accident Investigation Agency.
  • Queen Elizabeth II has conferred an OBE on Dr Nneka Abulokwe (DBA 2013) for Services to Business in recognition of her introduction of an innovative form of governance for the digital world. She also features in the Top 100 Black Power List 2020 and the Financial Times and Inclusive Boards list of the Top 100 most influential BAME leaders in technology  Dr Abulokwe also commented in a BBC online article on the lack of diversity of the guests Mark Zuckerberg chose to invite to a discussion on the future of technology.
  • Eng. Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser (Management Training Programme 2002) has been appointed Saudi Arabia Minister of Transport.
  • Dr Anino Emuwa (MBA 1992) features in a piece on inspirational women from We Are The City.
  • Stjohn Gardner (MBA 1997) has been named in Wealth Manager's Top 100 2019 annual survey on the most influential people in fund selection across the private client industry.
  • Miguel Falcón Martín (MSc Air Transport 1994) is Managing Director of Air Nostrum who have recently been distinguished with the Gold Airline award by the European Regions Airline Association.
  • Ahmed Lawan (PhD Applied Remote Sensing 1991) sympathises with victims of Maiduguri market fire outbreak, congratulates Kogi, Bayelsa Governors-Elect and urges Minister of Finance to educate citizens on the benefits of VAT increase.
  • Air Marshal B Suresh becomes Chief of Air Force's Western Air Command.
  • Winnie Byanyima (PhD Applied Energy 1988) takes the helm at UNAIDS and also features in an interview in The Guardian (Nigeria) discussing the need to provide young girls with education and sexual reproductive services to prevent AIDS.
  • IFE is most important to passengers, says Royal Brunei Airlines CEO Karam Chand (MSc Air Transport 1992)
  • Morrison Freight shortlisted in two categories at the BIFA Freight Service Awards – directors Darren Ryan and Lee Steward completed the Business Growth Programme earlier this year.
  • Dr Siobhan Gardiner (PhD Environment and Agrifood 2017) has been selected as the winner of the inaugural Commonwealth category in the 2019 Women of the Future Awards.
  • Shamil Pankhania (MSc Finance and Management 2006) has been appointed as a credit portfolio manager at HSBC Global Asset Management.
  • Andy Haddon (MSc Bioaeronautics) features in Living North discussing leaving the corporate world to move back to the North East and set up Big River Bakery – with a focus on a fairer food system and providing training/employment to help people to make an impact in their own community.
  • Victor Onyebuchi (PhD Energy and Power 2015, MSc Environmental Management for Business 2007) has been appointed Health and Safety Manager at SEC group.
  • Vice Admiral Muhammad Fayyaz Gilani (MSc Military Operational Research) has been appointed Vice Chief of Naval Staff by the Pakistan Navy.
  • Colonel Alexander Furer (MSc Global Security) will become ‘Commander Center of Competence’ at SWISSINT on 1 January 2020. 
  • Dr Sarah Qureshi (PhD Aerospace 2016) features in an article discussing her development of a pollution-free aircraft engine.
  • Suzanne Watkinson (MBA 1998) is taking part in a talk on the impact of Hengqin on Macau’s tourism and the wider business community.
  • Andrew Halliwell (MBA 2006) features in an article on Enterprise Networking, discussing the role of cloud computing in shaping the future of businesses. 
  • Professor Michael Rosenberg (PhD Leadership and Management 2009) will be delivering workshops on the media industry in Poland at the “Media of the Future” conference in December.
  • Amy Kam (MBA 2001) will be the lead manager of a new fixed income investment strategy launched by GAM in Asia.
  • Vanni Gibertini (MSc Air Transport Management 2002) writes about Massena airport in Airline Geeks.
  • Kreshnik Gashi (MSc Safety and Accident Investigation 2014) has been appointed as the new chief of the Kosovo Intelligence Agency (KIA)
  • Winnie Byanyima (PhD Applied Energy 1988) has published a UNAIDS video message highlighting the importance of communities and calling on governments to open up space for activists to work, ahead of World Aids Day (1 Dec).
  • Caroline Donaldson (MBA 1998) has been appointed Managing Director of the West Coast Partnership Development by FirstGroup and Trenitalia.   • Gerard Nagle (MSc Process Systems Engineering 2005) has co-authored a case study outlining how TU Dublin (where he lectures) use problem-based learning to teach mechanical engineering design.

  • Cranfield alumni in India supported a free cancer screening camp for the underprivileged, run by the Life Wins Foundation. 
  • Hector Recio (MSc Air Transport Management 2016) features in a round-up of previous winners of the Adecco Group’s “CEO for one month” initiative, in which young talent within Adecco Group companies across 47 countries are given the opportunity to be CEO for 30 days.
  • Captain Shaikh Mohammed received by the Commander-in-Chief of Bahrain Defence Force after obtaining his Master’s degree in Military Engineering at Cranfield.
  • George Roberts (MSc Logistics and Supply Chain Management 2002) has been appointed as Managing Director of Vivo Energy Maroc.
  • CEO of SignTech, Leke Babalola (EMBA 2002), comments on the company's success in helping African companies to go paperless.
  • Former Army Commander Daya Ratnayake (Management of Defence) has been appointed Chairman of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority.
  • Aishah Ahmad (MSc Finance and Management 2007), Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria has been named third in a list of the ‘Top 30 Leading Women in Nigeria’s Financial Technology’ published by FinTech Africa.
  • Dr Newton Jibunoh, environmentalist and founder of FADE Africa, features in an interview discussing an adventure in which he drove alone from London to Nigeria through the Sahara desert in 1966.
  • David Evans (MSc Astronautics and Space Engineering 1991) features in an article discussing the new Cheops satellite and the Ops-Sat nano-satellite.
  • A speech, given by Gavin Parnell (MSc Logistics and Supply Chain Management 2004), on the future of the supply chain profession at The Charted Institute of Logistics and Transport Fellows’ Lunch has been shared by Cold Chain Federation.
  • Adesola Adeduntan (MBA 2005) features in an article on financial inclusion in Nigeria.
  • Piotr Samson (MBA 1995) has been elected head of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
  • Leonardo Carluccio (MBA 2004) will be taking up the role of European Directorate of Sales Planning at the Lexus European Headquarters, as of 1 January 2020.
  • ITP Aero has announced plans to strengthen its Board and management, naming Mikel Lantero Escartin (MSc Thermal Power 1998) as Executive Office of the Civil Business Unit. 
  • Charmaine Griffiths (MBA 2013) has been appointed as Chief Executive at the British Heart Foundation, and will return to the charity in February 2020 after formerly holding the post of Executive Director of Strategy and Performance.
