We are currently seeking expressions of interest for the School of Management Alumni President role.

The SOM Alumni President plays a central role in helping the School to maintain productive relationships with its alumni community.  Working closely with the Alumni Relations and Development Office, the Alumni President represents the views and interests of alumni and assists in building alumni engagement and support of the School.  The role holder will have a demonstrable commitment to the School and alumni programmes, as evidenced through event attendance, contributions to communications, serving as a volunteer or supporting the School philanthropically.  The Alumni President serves as an ex-officio member of the School’s International Advisory Board so experience working at Board level would be an advantage.  A full role description can be found here.

Expressions of interest should be provided in a statement of no more than 800 words, explaining why you feel you would be suitable for the role. Applications can be provided online or sent to Isobel Kettle, Alumni Events and Volunteer Manager. You may also wish to supplement your application by sending a copy of your CV.

We will accept expressions of interest until 12pm BST Thursday 2 May 2019 after which applications will be reviewed by the Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Director of the School of Management, the Chair of the School’s Advisory Board and the Director of Alumni Relations and Development. Shortlisted candidates will then be invited to interview in May.

*NB this is a volunteer role but any reasonable expenses incurred will be reimbursed by the School.
