Cranfield’s reputation in the world is of central importance to us all and we are passionate about maintaining and enhancing Cranfield’s brand, so that our alumni, students, staff and partners can all be proud of our University.

In our special anniversary year, we have undertaken some major work to emphasise the distinctive qualities that have enabled us to flourish over the past 70 years and are pleased to introduce our refreshed identity, which reinforces our world-class expertise in our specialist areas: aerospace, defence and security, energy and power, environment and agrifood, manufacturing, transport systems, water and our School of Management. 

This animation explains why we have refreshed our brand, who we listened to during the research phase and our ambition for the future.

A refreshed logo and visual identity, a more coherent voice and a bold new, fully responsive website, fit for the digital age, will make it easier for our stakeholders to engage with us and make us more accessible to potential students, companies, government bodies and of course our alumni, our biggest ambassadors. 

We're building on our heritage and will be maintaining the use of our crest, while embracing the future, with more modern organisation logos, which will more successfully convey where we have come from, who we are today, as well as our aspirations for the future. Our refreshed identity, which we will be introducing in a phased way, starting with our website, is part of a much bigger plan to raise our ambition, improve our performance and re-assert our distinctiveness.
